When will it end!!!

Happy New Year to all!! By now you should have all received the tournament schedule, new tournament rules as well as the date of the annual meeting. I am looking forward to the start of the season and another successful tournament season. If you haven't received a letter the annual meeting is Sunday March 13 at 10:00 am @ the Grill at Alling. Hope to see you all there.

Has there been any solutions for protecting the players from the board .last year had a rash of poor decisions made we the members took the brunt of it any chance of board members having term limits to mix it up and give the club the new life it needs to strive and grow would be nice to hear some new voices I would just like to see the club at it's best we have a great course and terrific members I just hate to see so many members not return because of grudges over misuse of power.please address the situation before the start of this season. I would also like to see some transparency on the votes the board members make so myself as a club member can be sure I'm voting for the right candidate .this is not a slight on current board members I know most of you do a great job truly care about the club you serve but we can't over look the lose of key members to our association it hurts to lose terrific golfers and friends every year we should do something proactive to sastain and grow this club I know I want to be a part of it for many years.

I would like to respond to the comment posted today by Mr. Pop Up. Let me start by saying that i have been a member of the New Haven Golf Club since 1962 anb observed first hand all of the Boards that have taken the responsibility of leadership since my first involvement with the club. Every Board beleived that it was the best to ever run the club, meeting all the needs of every member all the time, year after year. We know that is wishful thinking, the newest board in power is dealing with problems we never had to deal with. Golf is no longer on the rise. in fact it is on a down turn. as a result we are gpoing to lose some members. we are not a young club age wise to begin with.so some of the older member donot join .others move on to other venues. It is impossible to please everyone all of the time. we act accordingly on every situtation presented to the board, All problems brought before the board are discussed at length before any decisions are made, If Mr, Pop Up is as concerned as he says he is maybe he should submit his name to the nominating committee and run for office

Major tournaments
Pardee Cup
NEPL
Past Presidents 36
Club Championship
Member/Member

NEPL and Past Presidents are both major tournaments tee times day 1 and seeded tee times day 2
Fore Man Team teams must play from same tees
if they are competing for the same event
Club Championship Qualifier might flow better on July 30th not almost a month before tournament on the 17th of July
All tournaments should have 1st 2nd 3rd
Pardee and Club Championship might be fun to have semi finalist play each other for third place these are just some suggestions thank you for letting me post

Go to CSGALINKS.org for 2011 state schedule. Lots of good events for all skill levels. Of course, let's support NHGC events as well. Rob and committee have put great effort into that. If a better one in this state for a club, let's see it. A few more rainstorms, we may see some grass at the club.

Why Marty must you ruffle everyone's feathers?

Marty why must you ruffle everyones feathers? It is what it is, we as board members try our best to make it as fair as possible for everyone. We try to accomodate as much as we can according to the rules set for each event.
